TRaC facilities offers a wide range of accredited Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and wireless testing services. Our experienced staff can assist with all EMC requirements for compliance testing to European and international standards, and can advise on pre-compliance investigative testing, which is invaluable in product development.

TRaC is an EMC Directive Notified Body for the assessment of Technical Documentation. Our EMC testing laboratory is UKAS accredited and our measurement facilities are also listed with the FCC, Industry Canada and the VCCI.

TRaC can also offer training, consultancy and testing at customer premises.

Immunity testing

Immunity to electromagnetic disturbance is a requirement of both the existing EMC Directive (89/336/EEC) and the "new" European EMC Directive (2004/108/EC).

Harmonics and flicker testing

Relatively speaking, Harmonics and Flicker are a more recent addition to EMC emissions requirements. In Europe it is a requirement to hold evidence of compliance against Harmonics and Flicker standards to support a manufacturer’s Declaration of Conformance against either the EMC Directive or the R&TTE Directive.
